So I'm not much of a writer.. but I've been wanting to start a blog forever... and finally I've decided I'm going to give it a go.  It's going to be a blog about things I like; ie - photography, Raglan, weddings, creative lighting, inspiring reads, maybe even a bit of Kiwi music here and there, and no doubt there'll be the odd post centered around my gorgeous wee boy Leo.  

I've recently finished up working at my other part time job, and what a weight off my shoulders that is!  I now feel I can put a lot more focus into my business that is Tracie H Photography :)   I have plans to start getting a lot more creative with my photography, especially in the off camera lighting area... So expect a whole lot of funky portraits coming your way.. oh and possibly a 4th little addition to our little family of three around May sometime :)

But like I say, I'm not much a writer, so don't expect any mindblowing pieces of journalism; I'll be concentrating on my photography, honing my skills as best as I can, so taking you on more of a pictorial journey than a narrative one.

My plan is to blog twice a week.  But don't hold me to that... Let's just see how we go..  I want to start a Weekly Wednesday edition - kinda like my Photo A Day, back in my early Facebook days where I used to post an image every day. I'm a bit too busy for that these days, but it was so helpful to my growth in photography that I really want to start something similar up again; where I am forced to get my camera out to practice, not just to work.  And I'll be focusing on off camera flash, because that's something I'd really like to get better at... SO, rather than ramble on - here's my first ever Weekly Wednesday post of my little monkey Leo.

Using an off camera speedlight and a softbox to the right of him (camera right), the only way I could get him to sit still was with a bit of Diego and a lollipop..

Anyway, this blog post is already WAY too long, don't expect this much rambling in the future!
